Standard, deep, or move-out cleaning

Standard cleaning is regular upkeep for a home you live in. It covers everyday dirt and keeps the main rooms clean.

Deep cleaning adds work on buildup and areas regular upkeep does not reach. It includes appliance interiors and more detailed work around each room.

Move-out cleaning is for an empty home. Its checklist focuses on cleared cabinets and closets, plus surfaces exposed after belongings are removed.

The task totals are the published checklist counts. A larger home can need more work, so compare the tasks as well as the totals.

Common Questions

What does a cleaning service include?

A standard house cleaning covers the rooms you use every day, including bathroom fixtures and kitchen surfaces. Ready Rental Cleaning's residential standard checklist has 59+ tasks, including floors and bed making with existing linens. Deep cleaning and move-out cleaning use different checklists, so choose the scope that fits your home.

What is usually included in a deep cleaning?

A deep clean includes standard cleaning plus work on areas that need more attention. Examples from our residential checklist: Wipe baseboards in every bedroom, top edge collects most dust; Dust window sills, frames, and inside the window track; Pull oven racks and clean inside the oven with degreaser; Wipe inside the refrigerator, shelves, drawers, door seals. The room summaries above show more of the added work.

What is not included in a deep clean?

Our exclusions include carpet shampooing or steam cleaning (we vacuum only) and black mold or mold remediation. A deep clean also does not cover every kind of property cleanup. Read the full exclusions above and ask about any work outside the checklist before booking.

What does a bathroom deep clean include?

The standard bathroom checklist includes: Wipe the mirror streak-free; Scrub shower walls, tub, and glass; Scrub the sink basin and faucet; Scrub the bowl with the brush and flush. The deep-clean checklist adds: Scrub grout lines on shower walls and floor with a brush and bleach paste; Descale the shower head, faucet, and any glass with vinegar or CLR; Wipe inside the medicine cabinet and vanity drawers; Wipe baseboards and behind toilet base, bend down and look; Clean the exhaust fan grille, dust and wipe with damp cloth.

What are the differences between a housekeeper, a maid, and a cleaner?

A housekeeper often handles ongoing household upkeep and may also do chores such as laundry. Maid is a common term for someone who cleans a home, while cleaner is a broader term for someone hired to clean a space. These titles overlap, so ask for the written task list rather than relying on the job title.

What is usually included in a move out cleaning?

A move-out clean is built for an empty home, with access to areas usually covered by belongings. Our checklist includes: Wipe inside every closet and all shelving: rods, shelves, corners; Spot-wash walls and doors for scuffs; Wipe inside every cabinet, cupboard, and drawer (now empty) plus the toe-kicks. Cleaning does not promise a security deposit refund.
