- If there is a piano: dust the top, the keys (dry cloth, gentle), the bench, and underneath. Do NOT use any liquid on the wood.
- If there is a fireplace: dust and wipe the entire mantle, including all decor sitting on it (lift each piece, wipe under it, place back exactly where it was).
- If there is a fireplace: wipe the hearth (the stone or tile under the fireplace opening) with a damp cloth, then dry with a clean cloth. DO NOT sweep or remove ash from the firebox — that is a paid add-on (Fireplace Ash Removal). If ash is present and the host did not book the add-on, take a photo and text the host before doing anything.
