Do I provide linens for an Airbnb cleaning?
You provide the linens for an Airbnb cleaning: stock 2 to 3 clean sheet sets per bed and 2 to 3 clean towel sets per bath, and the crew strips, remakes and bags the dirty set.
That is the rule across Ready Rental Cleaning’s Los Angeles service area, roughly 20 miles around Calabasas. We bring every chemical, cloth and machine the job needs. We do not bring sheets or towels, and we never will, because those belong to your property.
What you stock, what we bring
These are the two lists the cleaner works from. They are the same lists on our checklist page and in your booking confirmation, so there is no version of this where a crew shows up expecting something you were never told about.
You stock at the property
- Fresh sheets (2-3 sets per bed in a closet)
- Fresh towels (2-3 sets per bath in a closet)
- Fresh hand towels and bath mats
- Toilet paper refill stock in a cabinet (we top up from it first)
- Paper towels refill stock in a cabinet (we top up from it first)
- Hand soap, dish soap, shampoo, and guest amenities (you stock these — we never refill amenities)
- Working washer and dryer (only if Laundry Service is added)
- Access method (lockbox code, smart lock, or key)
- Wifi password posted somewhere visible
- Trash and recycling pickup schedule
- Any house-specific instructions (alarm code, parking, etc.)
We bring on every clean
- All cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
- HEPA-certified vacuum
- Microfiber cloths and mop pads
- Magic erasers, scrub brushes, scrub pads
- Trash bags and recycling bags
- Paper-goods top-up every clean: toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags (your stock first, our kit as backup)
- Glass cleaner and stainless steel polish
- Toilet brush and toilet bowl cleaner
- Oven cleaner (Deep Clean only)
- Grout cleaner (Deep Clean only)
- Air freshener
- Photo documentation (every room, before and after)
- $2,000,000 general liability insurance
- Background-checked, bonded cleaner
Why 2 to 3 sets per bed
The count is not a preference. It is what a rental needs to change sheets between guests without the schedule depending on a dryer.
One set is on the bed
The set your current guest is sleeping on is out of circulation until the stay ends. It is never available for the next clean, which is why a single set per bed does not work for a rental.
One set is clean in the closet
That is the set the cleaner puts on. It has to be in the property, folded and findable, before the crew arrives, because nobody is driving to your storage unit mid clean.
One set is in the wash
Whether you wash off site or add laundry to the clean, the dirty set spends hours in a machine. A third set is what keeps a same-day booking from depending on a dryer cycle finishing on time.
Towels follow the same math: 2 to 3 sets per bath, counting bath towels, hand towels and washcloths. Bath mats wear out faster than anything else in the room, so keep a spare for each one.
What the cleaner does with your linens
Beds are stripped first, before the rest of the property is touched. That is deliberate: it empties the bedroom early, and if laundry is part of the job the machine starts running while the kitchen and bathrooms get done, instead of everyone standing around at the end waiting on a cycle.
Bedrooms are made up last, with the clean set from your closet. On the service card the line reads: Strip and remake every bed with fresh sheets you stocked.
If laundry was not added, the dirty sheets and towels are bagged, sealed and set by the front door, so you or your laundry service can collect them without hunting through the property. Every bedroom is photographed before and after, and the after shot is the made bed, which is how you confirm the set went on without driving over.
If the closet is empty when we arrive
The cleaner stops, photographs the closet and texts you before doing anything else. If you can get linens to the property within an hour, we wait and finish the beds. If you cannot, we clean everything else and leave the beds stripped rather than putting a used set back on for your next guest.
There is no supply run fee for this, and the crew cannot leave the property to buy linens. The clean is scheduled against your check-in time, and a store run would spend the window that the next guest is counting on.
The fix is boring and it works: keep the spare sets in one labeled closet in the property, and tell us which closet when you book.
Having us wash them on site
Laundry Service is a paid add-on rather than part of the standard clean, because it is machine time on top of the job. It needs a working washer and dryer at the property.
| Add-on | Price | Covers | Beyond that |
|---|---|---|---|
| Laundry Service | $50 | 2 loads included | +$50 per additional 2 loads |
- Wash up to 2 full loads of guest linens
- Sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers
- Towels (bath, hand, kitchen)
- Dry on appropriate cycle
- Fold sheets and stack neatly
- Spare sets staged for next checkout
- Detergent and softener provided
Requirement on your side: working washer and dryer (only if laundry service is added).
Hosts who stock a third set often skip the add-on entirely and run the wash themselves between stays. Hosts on back-to-back bookings usually add it, because it is the only way the same set comes back clean before the next guest.
Home cleans work differently
None of this applies to a regular house clean. In a home we make the bed with the linens already on it, we do not strip anything, and there is no laundry unless you add it. Nothing is restocked either, because you stock your own house.
Common questions
Do I provide linens for an Airbnb cleaning?
Yes. You stock the sheets and towels at the property and we use what is in the closet. Fresh sheets (2-3 sets per bed in a closet). Fresh towels (2-3 sets per bath in a closet). We bring every cleaning supply and every piece of equipment, but we never bring linens.
Why do you not bring your own sheets?
Because sheets belong to the property. Bed sizes, mattress depths, duvet covers and towel colors are yours, and a shared pool of linens moving between homes would mix them up and hand your guest something that does not match your listing photos. The set on the bed at check-in should be the set you bought.
How many sets should I stock?
2 to 3 clean sheet sets per bed and 2 to 3 clean towel sets per bath. One is on the bed, one is clean in the closet, and one is in the wash. Two sets work for a property with gaps between stays, and three is what makes a same-day flip safe.
What happens if there are no clean sheets when the cleaner arrives?
The cleaner stops, photographs the closet and texts you. If you can get linens to the property within an hour, we wait. If not, we clean everything else and leave the beds stripped rather than remaking them with a dirty set. There is no supply run fee, and the crew cannot leave the property to buy linens.
Can you wash the dirty sheets while you are there?
Yes, that is the Laundry Service add-on: $50 for 2 loads included, +$50 per additional 2 loads. It needs a working washer and dryer at the property. Without it, the dirty sheets and towels are bagged, sealed and left by the front door for you.
What do you do with the dirty linens?
Beds are stripped at the start of the clean, so the room is empty while the rest of the property gets done. If laundry is added, the load goes straight into the washer and the beds are made last with the clean set. If it is not added, the dirty linens are bagged, sealed and set by the front door.
Do I need to stock linens for a house cleaning too?
No. On a home clean we make the bed with the linens already on it and there is no laundry unless you add it. The stock 2 to 3 sets rule is a short stay rental rule, because a rental changes sheets between every guest.
Do you restock soap and shampoo?
No. We top up the paper goods on every Airbnb clean, meaning toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags, from your cabinet stock first and our kit as backup. Soap, shampoo, conditioner and guest amenities are yours to stock.
